Annamitra was born from a feeling many of us know too well — That something's missing in the food we eat today. Not the spice. Not the flavour. But the feeling.
It's for the parents who've slowly lost interest in their meals — not from illness, but because the food no longer feels like theirs. It's for the busy working day — when breakfast is skipped, lunch is ordered, and dinner is just fuel.
In a city bursting with options, the quiet comfort of a home-style South Indian meal had disappeared.
We're bringing it back — gently, one meal at a time.
I started Annamitra not as a brand, but as a way to find my food again.
Not restaurant-style 'South Indian', not the usual delivery fare — but the kind of food that lives in memory:
Paati's sambhar, made with three vegetables and endless patience. The dosa that crackled just right. Coconut chutney that never came from a packet. Rasam that tasted like home.
Annamitra is my way of holding on to that. And sharing it, with anyone who misses it too.
